This game was really cool! Kinda wish it was longer bc it had great potential. Was a little freaked out at first ngl but this was hands down peak cinema. ✋😌🤚 Also I totally get the resemblance w/ soul void and this game, like freeing souls
This game reminded me a lot of Julia Was Alone by A. V. Dossow. I highly recommend it; I got so obsessed with it while playing it, quite similar to this game.
oh my god this game's ending made me wanna cry. I gave The Seeker like....five hugs before actually leaving. The Grim was scary as hell though LMAO. Thank you for making this. I feel like I can defeat my own version of The Grim now.
I finished the whole game and the guide helps me finished 100% of the side quest. I firstly did the best ending and the normal ending (speedrun). I think i'm in love with this game because the other parts especially the best ending has cute and wholesome parts.
When i was playing yesterday, my mom looked at me playing this game and she said "that's cute", not knowing it's a horror game. My favorite part is the museum part when there's some stuff in there. But overall, i enjoy the game (I'm not really fan of horror games since most of them are very creepy, unlike this it's less creepy especially "The Grim").

I'm using microsoft edge on my laptop and I can't play the game, why? I tried pressing all the recommended buttons but I still can't play the game. The only button that has an effect is only the Enter, Ctrl, and the Arrow buttons. I'm so sad that I can't play it, pls help me.
Downloaded it yesterday for my emulator handheld and loaded it on there. I really felt like it belonged on the OG Game Boy. The layout of the world is very intuitive. I was constantly wondering what would come next. The OST is very nice too and I really loved the storyline. You did a very good job creating this game and I thank you for it!
My mind has forgo the thought of unpleasantness whence the videogame is in a deep state of mind while simultaneously inducing a hormonal balance in my frontal cortex that exert the sense of pleasantry as i am just a mere character in the vast emptiness that is the void, once must enjoy this before thy lose the sense of oneself.......
Just finished playing through the game on stream and will be uploading to youtube later. But really nice game! The art absolutely kills it, not just in how clean it looks, but in the designs of all the characters, the way you use colour. It's awesome!
It really is just a game where you walk around and talk to NPCs, but the way everything is presented and put together makes it engaging. It's a nice story, a scary creepy story, but with a nice uplifting message at the end.
Quick question: that's a ton of work, a ton of time, and a ton of making your own art, and yet you aren't asking anything for this game. In my opinion, if you put it on Steam on a low enough price, you'd definitely be able to get some decent income. So how do you make money from this, if at all? (Unless you're already loaded and you do this for fun.)
Also, (ok, two questions): What game engine is this made with? I only know Renpy (well enough but it's tremendously limited when you want to do something more than mere VNs) and I'm starting to study Godot next (totaly different).
They have a link in the gane description stating it was made with GB Studio :3 it looks similar to the rpg maker engine, but with more of a focus on Gameboy style graphics and gameplay 🤔 definitely looks worth checking out!
Well it's i think he just wanted to make this game and leave it in the expansive ocean that is the web I'm not saying he doesn't care about it he differently does but he really isn't in it for the money just one time thing he wanted to do
So good!!!!! I always love art that's just someone more or less ripping their heart out and throwing it at you. Everything felt more and more intimate and personal the further I ventured, and it all comes together so well with the surrealist style. I really connected with the story; even the parts that I don't personally relate to hit REALLY hard. Further proof that struggling people being extremely vulnerable is important in art and also that body horror is awesome as hell in expressing it.
this is one of the best games ever made. 100%. so gorgeous. so relatable. so emotional. i love the characters so much. i want to hug them so bad. the art is gorgeous. the dialogue is amazing. the jokes are so funny and endearing. i love the world-building and the story and the setting and the puzzles. so amazing. thank you so much <33333

This was one of the greatest games I've ever played!
I loved every second of it. Even though the puzzles were tricky, it was even more amazing when you solved them. Also I unfortunately accidentally skipped the part where you make some pinky promise to the husk :'( But I checked out almost everything in this game, all the unique dialogue, THE PIT, severing the waiting's veins and yes, even the trash bins. It was all so great!!! I just love this game. Thank you SO MUCH for creating it! The game is so creative. Anyways bye lost now found souls!
Idk if its only for me but i cannot start the game or contineue game just pressing enter and nothing. Using Chrome newest version. Tried fullscreen, enter, space, newgame, continue... nothing helps.
This is genuinely one of my favorite games I have ever played. I have never played a game that explored depression is such a way. This spoke to me very deeply. Finding this when i was in the void would have been very impactful to me. But i think finding it after I have found my light gives me a different appreciation for this piece of art. This game will forever mean something to me. It is very close to my heart. Thank you for making this art, and I hope you are doing well. And to all who play and connect with this game, you will find your light. I love you and care about you, even if i dont know you. Life is beautiful.

How do I play this game after downloading?
Edit: I figured it out, you have to download a Game Boy Advance (GBA) Emulator to run the game. I used "Visual Boy Advance" which seems to work well.

Favorite gameboy homebrew of all time!

How do you download games to a handheld? Is it something specific for this purpose or would something like a modded 3ds work?
Mine is a specific handheld but I think you could also do this on a modded DS (if it supports GB games)
